桂英史 Katsura Eishi

1959 年、長崎県生まれ。学術修士（図書館情報大学大学院）。図書館情報学、映像メディア学、メタデータ管理理論を専門とし、東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科教授（2009–2026）、同附属図書館館長（2019–2021）、ピッツバーグ大学客員研究員（1991–1992）を歴任。 NPO 法人 MediaSeven の運営（2007–2020）、RAM Association プロデューサーなど、文化事業と制度設計の実践にも長年携わってきました。 Born 1959 in Nagasaki, Japan. Master of Arts (Library and Information Studies). Specializes in library information science, moving-image media studies, and metadata management theory. Held positions as Professor at Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts (2009–2026), Director of the University Library (2019–2021), Visiting Researcher at University of Pittsburgh (1991–1992), and Director of MediaSeven NPO (2007–2020).

ArtEX の中核概念（Certificate ／ Manifest ／ Edition Management）は、学術情報センター時代（1986–1994）の NACSIS-CAT 総合目録実装、東京藝術大学大学院映像研究科での 17 年間のメディア論・アーカイブ論の蓄積、そして 1971 年の Siegelaub–Projansky Agreement に始まる 55 年間のアーティスト権利論の系譜の上に構築されています。 The core concepts of ArtEX (Certificate / Manifest / Edition Management) are built upon 40+ years of academic work in library information science, 17 years of media theory and archive theory at Tokyo University of the Arts, and the 55-year international lineage of artist-rights theory beginning with the 1971 Siegelaub–Projansky Agreement.
